Some residents again obstructed the Road Service of Auroville from working on infrastructure in the cleared areas, claiming that some plants and small sprouts on the ground could be considered “trees”, using the stay order from the NGT as an excuse. They also disregarded the work order from the Auroville Town Development Council.

 

The same evening a few residents and youth of the Youth Center, under the guidance of some senior residents, illegally re-erected a building that was demolished just the previous day, to make way for the Crown.
